President Rouhani’s message at the end of the Farabi Festival:
The humanities play a guiding role in the life of societies and in responding to emerging challenges
In his message at the end of the 12th Farabi International Festival, President Hassan Rouhani referred to the significant role of humanities in the development of societies and said: "Humanities have a guiding role in the lives of societies and respond to emerging problems and challenges."
Highlighting the important role of the Farabi International Festival in bolding Iranian-Islamic values, President Rouhani stated “Today we live in a world where the humanities are expected to play a more guiding role in the life of human societies than ever before and to respond to the rapidly emerging problems and challenges of the world.” In following, he indicated to “Iran’s scientific power as the main basis of the national authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran in world relations.”
In addition, Dr. Rouhani indicated that “Today, what diminishes the motivation and power of the country's management more than anything else is the lack of consensus on some fundamental issues of the country and the increase in the pursuit of national interests, especially in international relations. With this in mind, recognizing the authority of the university in the country's major issues is a national need and we call on everyone to follow it. We are sure that in such an environment, overcoming some of the country's problems will be facilitated.”
