Creating Large Knowledge Networks in the Region as the Most Important Aspect of Globalization
Dr. Hossein Salar Amoli, Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation, stressed the importance of international forums and the perspective of cooperation at the Ministry of Science and stated: "Despite a massive technological development, globalization has some negative aspect on people all around the world. It is inevitable and one of the most important aspects of globalization to create large knowledge networks in the region.
At the virtual symposium on the development of cooperation with international organizations and forums, held on 20th February 2021 at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Salar Amoli said: “The existence of organizations, such as the United Nations, ECO and D8, shows the need for convergence in the region. The significant point in globalization is that each country shares part of its national sovereignty and gains a corner of globalization sovereignty.
The Head of the Center of International Scientific Cooperation added: "There are two important bind of organization in the globe: International and non-governmental organizations which both have crucial effects on learning process and exchange of experience within and among states." He also mentioned: "Avoiding isolation from the international arena, and use of the others’ experiences would bring the country's standard to the international standards and participating in international norms are the effects and benefits of globalization." At the end of his speech, Dr. Salar Amoli said: "I hope that universities will consider the context of internationalization and become members of a few organizations and unions. They should necessarily be coordinated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
