Dr. Gholami’s Emphasis on the Expansion of Scientific Cooperation with Iran’s Neighbors
Dr. Mansour Gholami, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, met with Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, Iran’s new Ambassador to Baku. The meeting was mainly about Iran’s MSRT potential in expanding relations with Baku. Pointing to the significance of Iran’s interest and capacity in cultural and scientific cooperation with its neighbors, the minister stated that “there has been progressing in student exchange process in the recent years.” He also mentioned that Iran’s progress in initiating and expanding science and technology parks have been eye-catching in the recent 15 years and, now, the country aims to share its experiences and achievements with its neighbors. Furthermore, he pointed to Farsi literature, Iranology, and History as major fields that Tehran and Baku could expand their scientific relations.
Ambassador Mousavi noted that Baku has expressed its interests in scientific, research, and technological cooperation with Iran, and one of his important duty is to expand scientific cooperation between two countries especially in the field of student and academic staff motilities as well as joint research programs.
