Positive Responses to TVU Chancellor Letters to the Presidents of Foreign Universities
Dr. Salehi Omrani, Chancellor of Technical and Vocational University (TVU), sent his letters to major international universities on imposed sanctions as well as fighting Covid-19. In his letter, he pointed to the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic on Iranian society. He also highlighted the destructive impacts of the unfair sanctions on the Iranian’ lives.
Dr. Salehi Omrani’s letter was responded positively by several universities. Dr. Dumitru Chirlesan, President of the University of Pitesti, expressed his readiness for cooperation with the Iranian scientific and academic society in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. He also expressed his sympathy with the Iranian’ situation of “fighting coronavirus without any external support.” Furthermore, Dr. Wali M. Hamad, President of Koya University, also expressed his support for “improving the scientific and academic collaborations” with TVU and other Iranian universities. Also, Dr. Uwe Reinhold, Coordinator of CC-Iran, criticized “the sanctions of the USA against Iran” while emphasizing his intention to “maintain the traditionally good relations between Iran and Germany.” He also stated that “we are determined to establish long-term cooperation with TVU within our CC-IRAN project.”
