The 6th SAMFA Test, in Iran and abroad, 23rd January 2020
The Centre for International Scientific Cooperation (CISC) of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), will be holding the 6th Standard Persian Language Proficiency Test, ‘SAMFA Test’ on 23rd January 2020, in Iran, Iraq and Lebanon.
Taking place in Iran (Isfahan, Mashhad, Qazvin, Sanandaj, Hamedan), Iraq (Baghdad, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah) and in Lebanon (Beirut), SAMFA test measures the language proficiency of non-Iranian applicants who want to study in Iran or at other Persian speaking countries (where Persian is used as a language of education or communication).
Ensuring quality and fairness the SAMFA test that regardless of the source and learning approach of applicants, measures their Persian language speaking, listening, reading and writing proficiency for university admission and academic criteria. According to regulations of the MSRT, passing this exam is compulsory for all non-Iranians who want to study at Iranian universities, and so, from September 2018, passing the SAMFA test has been one of the main conditions of their admission to Iranian universities.
