The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Tehran Paid a visit to MSRT
The new ambassador of Bangladesh to Tehran, Mr A F M Gousal Azam Sarker, paid an official visit to the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to have a meeting with H.E. Minister Gholami. In this meeting, Dr Salar Amoli, the Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation, Dr Afkhami, Director of the D8 International University, Dr Alizadeh, General Director of International Students of the Students Affairs Organisation (MSRT), and other ministry representatives were also present.
Highlighting the current science, research and technological achievements of Iranian universities and research institutions, Minister Gholami announced the high number of knowledge-based firm at Iranian Science and Technology Parks and incubators, and Iran’s readiness for exchange of experiences.
Benefiting both countries in terms of expanding international scientific cooperation, and overcoming their current financial challenges through the exchange of science and technology of ST Parks and Knowledge-based companies, both sides expressed their will for direct cooperation of Iranian and Bengal companies.
In line with this, Mr Gousal Azam Sarker expressed his happiness and full support on the current teaching of Persian Language and Literature at 3 top Bengal universities. He added that Iranian students in Bangladesh and Bengal students in Iran are the future ambassadors of both countries, who can indeed play significant role in further strengthening and enhancing future scientific and cultural cooperation of Iran and Bangladesh.
Moreover, noting the 37 Bengal students (mostly at PG level) in Iran, Dr Alizadeh, shed light on providing opportunities for admission of more Bengal students at Iranian universities. He added, although this number does not signify great history between the two countries, but these students have so far shown incredibly effective and deep cooperation with Iranian scientific and cultural organizations.
