Minister Gholami Highlighted the Importance of Differentiating Science from Political Matters
High ranking delegates of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, headed by Minister Gholami visited Paris to attend the 40th General Conference of UNESCO.
In this conference, Minister Gholami elaborated on Iran’s latest science, research and technology achievements. Referring to UNESCO’s particular aim for creating a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences for realizing sustainable peace, through international scientific, educational and cultural cooperation, His Excellency highlighted the importance of UNESCO refraining from being influenced by political matters.
Condemning the unlawful sanctions of the US on Iran’ scientific society, minister Gholami requested for UNESCO and other international organisations to take action on such discrimination, and differentiate science from political mtters.
He furthermore, elaborated to Iran’s contribution to the world’s scientific society, through the Avicenna price on ‘ethics in science’.
