Iran’s TVU and German FHM Sign Memorandum of Understanding
In line with the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’s policy of internationalisation of universities and sustaining the university-industry link, Dr Salehi Omran, Chancellor of the Iranian Technical and Vocational University (TVU) and Dr Doost Mohammadian, General Director of International Cooperation and Advisor to the Chancellor of German Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM), signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Moreover, the two sides discussed establishment of a joint business school and issuing international certificates, with the help of lecturers of the two universities.
Mr Farajollah Talebi Otoui, director general of the international scientific cooperation of TVU, named ‘exchange of lecturers and students’, ‘holding re-training courses for lecturers’, ‘holding joint scientific events’, and ‘establishing joint business schools’, as the most important aspects of this MoU.
The German FHM University has eight branches in Germany, focusing on skills training, and entrepreneurship. According to official statistics from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), more than 95% of FHM graduates enter the job market immediately upon graduation.
