The Need for a Joint Roadmap, Scientific Committee and University and Research Institution Network for Cooperation between Iran and South-Korea
The Centre for Scientific Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Research and Technology along with the University of Isfahan, organized the 2nd meeting of Iranian and South Korean universities, where the Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation, Prof. Hossein Salar Amoli emphasized on the importance of having joint road-map for cooperation and establishment a network for universities and research institutions of Iran and South Korea.
In this meeting, Mr. Ryu Jeong-hyun, ambassador of South Korea to Tehran, along with Dr Talebi, chancellor of University of Isfahan and deputies for international scientific cooperation of Iranian universities with existing and interest in cooperation with South Korea were also present.
In this meeting, both sides emphasised on the importance of having a macro and long-term policies and implementation plans for better cooperation with South Korea.
Moreover, ambassador Jeong-hyun also expressed South-Korea’s will in expanding and deepening science and technology cooperation with Iran, where a Korean university will be introduced as the ‘leading-house’ as counterpart of University of Isfahan for cooperation with Iran.
Dr Talebi also announced the readiness of University of Isfahan for hosting joint rector’s conference, as the leading house for scientific cooperation with the South Korean universities.
