Germany and Iran Sign a Letter of Intent for Future Vocational Training Cooperation

In February 2019, the Iranian Technical & Vocational Training Organization (TVTO) and the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) has organized a workshop in Tehran, where the relevant ministries signed a letter of intent on future German-Iranian vocational training cooperation.

Following the invitation of Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO), president of BIBB, Professor Dr. Friedrich Hubert Esser was accompanied by representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and expert delegations of the international department of the BIBB paid an official visit to Tehran.

This meeting served as a forum for technical exchange with the Iranian vocational training reforms and the High Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (High Council of TVET) on the German dual system.

During the meeting, the BMBF and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare (MCLS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a Iranian-German vocational training cooperation.

In addition to the Iranian Minister of Labour, Dr. Mohammad Shariatmadari and TVTO President Dr. Soleiman Pakseresht, the German ambassador Mr Michael Klor Berchtold as well as representatives of the member organizations of the High Council of TVET were also present.
