Cultural Attaché of Iraq to Tehran Emphasised on Iran’s Scientific Role in Iraq
The Cultural Attaché of Iraq to Tehran, Dr Yaser Al-Hojjaj had a meeting with the Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Referring to the existing capacities and significant cultural, religious similarities of the two countries, and sharing borders, the two sides emphasised on the importance and need of expanding and intensifying academic and scientific cooperation between their universities.
Dr Al-Hojjaj also expressed the interests of officials and academics of Iraq into benefiting of Iran’s academic capabilities and increase in the number of Iraqi postgraduate students at Iranian universities, and requested for the support of Iranian officials and universities in enhancing academic state of Iraqi universities.
Moreover, the two sides discussed renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding on scientific cooperation, illustration of roadmap of academic and research cooperation between the two countries, and making arrangements for meetings of university rectors.
