Following the establishment of the National Brain Mapping Centre in 2013 at the Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), which was later transformed into a larger institution under the name of Institute of Medical Science and Technology, the 5th Iranian Human Brain Mapping Congress will be held at SBU from 29th September to 1st October 2018.

Given the interdisciplinary nature of brain mapping science, scientists with various backgrounds including neuroscience, medical sciences, bioengineering, mathematics, biophysics, psychology, computer science, etc., will participate to discuss new findings and advanced technologies in the field of brain sciences. This congress focuses on the main topics of:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Electroencephalography
  • Positron Emission Tomography
  • Magnetoencephalography
  • Optical Imaging
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
  • Other Neuroscience Areas

The main endeavour of this congress is for the younger generation to get inspired by those who dedicated their lives to the advancement of science in order to alleviate human suffering, where this year’s slogan is “Brain Mapping: From Molecule to Medicine”.
