Tehran and Kabul Collaborate in the Fields of Applied Sciences and Vocational and Technical Training
Large Afghan delegates visited the ministry of Science, Research and Technology, to have a meeting with Minster Gholami, to review and discuss existing and future cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan.
The delegates also had a meeting with representatives of a number of Iranian universities, which was chaired by Dr Salar Amoli, the Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation of the MSRT, Dr Sadighi, Afghan Deputy Minister of Higher Education, and Dr Ebrahim Khodai, Deputy Minister and president of the Organization for State Education Assessment.
In this meeting, Dr Salar Amoli, referred to ‘holding educational programmes for Afghan trainers and lecturers by the Iranian Institute of Research and Planning in Higher Education’, ‘collaboration in the fields of applied sciences, and technical and vocational training, through Iranian University of technical and vocational training and Kabul Polytechnic University’, as the most important fields of cooperation between Iranian and Afghan universities.
Moreover, Dr Khodai also referred to the existing signed MoUs and 15 years of collaboration between Iran and Afghanistan, based on which it was agreed for Iranian Organization for State Education Assessment to assist Afghan universities and organisations in creating exam questions, holding national and local examinations, and accreditation of organisations, and announced Iran’s readiness in continuing such cooperation, and providing hardware facilities for holding future examinations in Afghanistan.
