The 1st German Science Day in Iran, took place on 27th -28th February and 1st March 2018

The 1st German Science Day, organized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) held at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) on 27th-28th February 2018, followed by the focus on health research of the German Science Day, that took place at the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences on 1st March 2018.

More than 60 German delegates visited Iran, to attend the German Science Day, where more than 200 participants from Iran attended the event.

Aiming to promote interdisciplinary and joint research activities and to intensify the exchange in scientific research between Iran and Germany, this event allowed the participants to learn more about Iranian and German funding systems and opportunities for distinguished scientists and professors of various scientific fields, to exchange policies, ideas, achievements and challenges on previous, current and future science and technology cooperation.

Moreover, this event acted as a platform for doctoral and postdoctoral candidates, to engage with the Iranian and German research landscapes, to get meaningful insight for their future research, and feedback on existing and previous cooperation between Iran and Germany.
