ICM Funding and Mobility Programs
The International Credit Mobility (ICM) action extends the well-known Erasmus programme to Partner Countries around the world, funding short-term mobility of students and staff to and from the Europe, based on which students can attend the host institution for 3-12 months, obtaining 'credits' which are then recognised and accredited at the home institution, as part of their degree. The ICM program also funds staff mobility for 5-60 days, which is decentralised and managed by the network of Erasmus+ and National Agencies located in 33 Programme Countries in Europe.
ICM launched its latest call in October last year ( deadline on 2nd February 2017), where a budget of €2.48 million was exclusively allocated for projects with Iran, Iraq and Yemen, that can fund over 600 short-term mobility programs (between 1st June 2017 and 31st July 2019), to and from all 33 Programme Countries in Europe.
This year, the total of 69 HEIs in Programme Countries submitted proposals for mobility projects with Iran, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Romania, Austria and the Czech Republic. Upon selection of National Agencies, the proposal outcomes will be published in July-August 2017.
