COMSTECH Symposium, 10th -12th April 2017, Islamabad
The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), on 10th -12th April 2017, in Islamabad, invites applications from OIC member states to participate in a symposium in honour of the late Professor S. Qasim Mehdi. Prof. S. Qasim Mehdi was a founding director of four genetic institutes in Pakistan, who made seminal contributions to human population and disease genetics in Pakistan.
Applications are welcomed from researchers and students, especially those engaged in research on human population, disease genetics and genomics. The symposium will provide an opportunity to interact with leading researchers in the field of human genomics and nurture young researchers in the field.
The symposium aims to ‘to honour Prof. S. Qasim Mehdi’s seminal contributions to human genetics research in Pakistan’ and ‘to provide an up-to-date information on human population and disease genomics research’.
